Michael & Sita | married | California Club, Los Angeles

Some people create their own magic.

Their magic picks you up and immerses you in a whirlwind of stories, amazing people and love and somehow at the same time it keeps you grounded so that everything can be seen so clearly.

That’s Michael and Sita. They create their own magic.

Sometimes this profound feeling sweeps over me that reminds me I am exactly where I am supposed to be; telling stories, learning about other people, about traditions. This past weekend being a witness to that magic which surrounds Michael and Sita, I knew.

Add an absolutely amazing vendor team and you have a day to remember forever.

A special thanks to Richard Clarke for shooting this wedding with me.

Tori & Andrew | Married | Bodega Bay

Sometimes beautiful things happen by chance.

After graduating from college, you don’t expect to move to a small Wyoming town and fall for the editor of a local newspaper who has hired you as a journalist. You don’t expect to develop an amazing friendship that then leads to beautiful adventures and develops into an amazing love.

But that’s Tori and Andrew’s story; and sometimes when you least expect it, chance completely takes you by storm.

Friends and family flew to Bodega Bay from all over the country to celebrate Tori and Andrew’s love and to send them off to begin the rest of their adventures together as husband and wife.

If you haven’t already, check out more photos on Jeff”s blog. I can’t imagine anyone else depicting us so perfectly. I have always told people that they will treasure their wedding photos for a lifetime – but now I know what that really feels like.

Being able to call Jamie my husband feels amazing. I can’t wait to continue our adventures together as husband and wife.

It’s already been one month since our wedding, and I feel like the dust is finally beginning to settle. My camera is back at my side and it feels good.

My camera helps me tell the stories in my heart.

and it’s back.

Jenna & Bradley | Married | Boston, Massachusetts

What happens when you strip back the layers of a wedding?

What matters the most to you?

I dare to suggest that many ‘brides and grooms to be’ have a really hard time considering this while making their wedding plans. I must admit, in the midst of planning my own wedding I have become a victim to pinterest, wedding blogs, social media and expected norms.

It’s ok. That’s normal.

To me, what’s most important is to not let this consume you. Each couple has to do what feels right to them. Invariably, what feels right varies (and should) from couple to couple.

Sometimes what feels right is meeting during an epic trip to Egypt.

Sometimes what feels right is planning the ultimate intimate wedding surrounded by only family.

Sometimes what feels right is taking a couple of hours with your photographer to explore a city that you love on your wedding day.

And sometimes, what feels right is ending that night surrounded by those very people that love you and sharing a meal to celebrate your union.

Your union as a married couple. Dedicated to one another. How appropriate to keep that sacred and to share that with only the people closest to you.

I dig it.
