Be bold

Since Saturday I have driven 1700 miles….. which has found me posting from a hotel room in Amarillo, Texas. This is one of the most exciting road trips of my life. I am moving from Sarasota, Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada. Why? There are many specific reasons, but what it boils down to is that life is too short to be complacent. I am not really one for “New Year Resolutions” but I have decided to be bold, take chances, to live without hesitation, to love with my whole heart, and to make each day count. I really believe that happiness is something that we create. So why not create it. As far as I know we are only blessed with one journey. So here is to the beginning of a bold new chapter of that journey.

These photos were taken from a portrait session on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida right before I packed up the Jeep and headed across the country.

That being said I have a feeling that my photography career will take me traveling to places that I have never been to – meeting  exciting people that love and enjoy life. I guess you could say that is my “New Year Resolution”. I guess it’s never too late to start making those silly things…
